A recent study demonstrated that plain old cinnamon can kill a variety of foodborne pathogens including: Bacillus cereus, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella anatum. So try a strong cup of cinnamon tea next time you eat at that sketchy restaurant.
